What happened in church
The Białystok Metropolitan Curia says that on October 12, 2008, a consecrated host fell during Communion. It was placed in water. On October 19, staff saw a red mark on it. The curia set up a commission in March 2009 to review witnesses and specialists’ findings.

A measured finding
The curia reports that two independent pathomorphologists found the sample resembled heart muscle tissue more than other living tissues. Their wording says “indicates” or “most resembles,” not that they established a supernatural cause. The commission said it found no outside interference and forwarded its records to the Apostolic Nunciature.

What the statement concludes
The curia concluded that the event did not contradict the Church’s faith and called for reverence toward the Eucharist. This site does not upgrade that statement into a claim of Vatican certification or independent scientific proof of a miracle.
