Recorded in January 2026: Two Healings, Two Continents
On January 17, 2026, the monastery registered two healings, each with medical documentation, as reported by Catholic News Agency. Georgianne Walker, an attorney from South Bend, Indiana, suffered a surgical wound that stayed open and bleeding for ten months; after anointing it with Saint Charbel's oil brought by a friend, she reported it healed completely and her second surgery was cancelled. Racha Charbel, from Jezzine in south Lebanon, had a 2.3-centimeter spinal tumor - a meningioma her neurosurgeon said only surgery could treat; on the morning of her pre-operative MRI, after a night of prayer before the saint's image, the scan showed the tumor gone. Recorded in October 2025: Crohn's Disease and a Herniated Disk
Two further entries were recorded at Annaya in October 2025. Antonio Ishaac, 28, had stopped all treatment for Crohn's disease in December 2024; after a May 2025 visit to the monastery and a night of intense pain, he says the pain vanished - and medical tests months later showed the disease had disappeared. Nancy Nehme, a university English instructor, suffered debilitating back and leg pain from a herniated disk; after a night of prayer before an image of Saint Charbel in 2017 she reports the pain left her, and an MRI in 2024 showed the disk back to normal.
Under Study, Not Registered: the Naples Oil Vessel
Some reports follow a different path. During a feast-day Mass in Naples on July 24, 2025, Monsignor Pasquale Silvestri anointed more than five hundred faithful with oil blessed for the occasion - and reported that the emptied jar was full again when he put it away. Following canon law, he reported the event to the postulator of Saint Charbel's cause and stored the vessel for Church authorities to study. It remains a reported event under study - not a register entry, not a recognized miracle.
